Overview

BNI is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and analytical lifelong learner to join our People Operations team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, People Operations, the Director, Total Rewards drives the organization’s compensation, payroll and benefits teams plus overall total rewards strategies. The Director, Total Rewards will demonstrate BNI’s core values daily which contribute to the attraction, motivation, and retention of the best people!

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and continuously enhance a holistic Total Rewards strategy that aligns with global business objectives, complies with regulations, and enhances talent acquisition and retention.
  • Lead the creation of job architecture including compensation philosophy, job leveling, pay banding, and database management of comprehensive job descriptions.
  • Design and implement a strategic incentive framework to drive performance and engagement.
  • Develop, set expectations, and continuously coach a newly formed total rewards team melding industry best practices with BNI’s core values.
  • Lead global benefits innovation by overseeing global health plans, retirement and wellness initiatives including optimizing vendor partnerships, and evaluating benefit designs for cost-effectiveness and employee value.
  • Payroll Governance & Partnership for execution and integrity, partnering closely with Global Payroll and Benefits Manager, Finance and vendors as well as maintaining related controls, documentation standards, and compliance routines across regions.  
  • Collaborate with finance on budgeting and track spending across total rewards offerings.
  • Analyze Total Rewards data to identify areas of improvement.
  • Lead and mentor the Total Rewards team, providing guidance and support on best practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, including 3+ years designing salary/incentive programs and 3+ years leading health and other total rewards offerings.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite skill level
  • Experience negotiating with insurance companies and brokers to ensure proper coverage and service.
  • Experience filing 5500 Benefits Tax returns and pre-filing audit processes.
  • Effective working knowledge of federal and state regulations and laws such as FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA Law, and Benefits laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR Certification (PHR, GPHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
  • Masters of Business Administration
  • ADP Workforce Now experience
  • Advanced Excel skill level

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
