Overview

Position Summary:

The Paralegal supports the legal and operational aspects of franchise development, compliance, and lifecycle management. This mid-career role works closely with internal counsel, franchise development teams, and shared services to ensure timely and accurate execution of franchise agreements, disclosures, and regulatory filings. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in legal documentation and franchise systems, with the ability to manage priorities independently, contribute to process improvements, and support cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:

Legal Documentation & Compliance

  • Draft, review, andmaintainfranchise agreements, amendments, and related legal documents
  • Draft annualFranchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) and managedisclosure requests
  • Draft,reviewand help execute various legal documents, includingbut not limitedtoconsulting agreements, SaaS and vendor agreements, event-related agreements,cease and desist letters, and default notices
  • Monitorfranchise and vendor agreementsrenewal deadlines andupdate internal management system
  • Perform research and support internal counsel in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits

Franchise Development Support

  • Collaborate with franchise sales and development teams tofacilitatedeal flow and documentation
  • Prepare due diligence materials andassistin evaluating franchise applications
  • Maintain organized records of franchise candidates, agreements, and correspondence
  • Ensure legal documentation aligns with brand standards and operational protocols

Operational Coordination

  • Liaise withoperations teams across countriesto support onboarding, territory setup, and compliance tracking
  • Assistin resolving franchise-related issues and escalations under guidance from legal and operational leads
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvements across the franchise lifecycle

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner withoperations,finance, marketing, and growth teams to support franchise operations
  • Provide feedback on lead quality, market dynamics, and campaign effectiveness
  • Participatein internal meetings andcontributeto cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training
  • 3–6 years of experience in a legal support rolepreferably in-house role, with franchise experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion.
