Every year, more and more evidence comes out about the success people are having using networking to grow and promote their businesses.  Even in light of this, however, there are still so many people who, for one reason or another, continue to resist networking. 

As BNI members, it can be hard to understand this resistance because we've experienced the benefits of increased business growth resulting from networking firsthand.  The more we understand about why people may resist networking though, the better the chances are that we can relate to them, as well as their hesitations and reservations, and find ways to mutually help each other grow our respective businesses.

BNI Directors and members alike have likely often heard BNI's Founder, Ivan Misner, say that "culture eats strategy for breakfast."  However, before now, he hasn't gone into thorough detail about this concept.

Just this past Monday, a massive tornado ripped through Moore, Oklahoma, flattening blocks of houses and leaving many people homeless, killing at least 24 people, and injuring nearly 240.  As rescuers continue to search for survivors and cleanup begins, the BNI Foundation has opened a special disaster relief fund which will go directly to the Red Cross to aid in the Oklahoma relief efforts.
