Job Description:  Quality Assurance Engineer

The QA Engineer will be a part of BNI’s Global Information Technology Team and will primarily have responsibilities over the discovery of bugs, writing test cases, automating test scenarios, documenting projects, running regression tests for both mobile and web applications.  The ideal candidate should have strong attention to details as well as comprehensive understanding of agile testing and testing methodologies.

The QA Engineer will work closely with developers located within the BNI office in Bangalore, as well as all levels of the BNI Management Teams.  This is an unparalleled opportunity to become part of a growing team and a growing global organization.  High performers will have significant growth opportunities available to them.

Key Skills 

• 2-5 years relevant experience in Manual and Automated Testing areas
• Excellent problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and strong communication skills
• Good exposure on Robot Framework with Python Scripting
• Hands-on experience writing code in Python.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman preferred)
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience working in a Kanban/Agile process.
• Good knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Good experience in version control software (Github preferred)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills

 Job Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes
• Good command on Manual Testing and Automated Testing
• Ensure test runs and results within the given time frame.
• Identify, report and track software defects and issues.
• Perform functional, performance, security and regression testing of software products.
• Experience in maintaining test cases in Test Management Application (TestRail preferred)
• Experience in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools as and when required.
• Test front-end applications (Desktop Applications), Mobile Applications, BI Tools and REST APIs.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.

 Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Fluent in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
• 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Detail-Oriented and passionate about Quality Assurance
• Hands-on experience with API/Desktop Application Testing
• Good understanding of Python Programming
• Experienced in maintaining Robot Framework with Python
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Good experience in version control software (Github preferred)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
