Position Summary 

The Director of Field Operations is primarily responsible for the overall growth in membership of the organization through planning, directing and coordinating the day-to-day operations, overseeing the personnel management, administration, and enforcement of policies, training, and coaching for a field team of Managing Directors, and their teams including business development, and achievement of organizational goals within the assigned region of the US.

Roles and Responsibilities 

Direct and Support BNI USA Annual Strategy of Growth

 

  1. Overall responsibility for the growth of membership in the assigned region for our US Company Owned Regions (CORE).
  2. Provide oversight and coaching regarding weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives including data analytics for decision making and to improve performance.
  3. Oversee and coordinate daily operations of Managing Directors to help achieve maximum efficiency in the design and output of processes and teams.
  4. Foster a success-oriented, accountable, and positive environment within CORE.
  5. Provide leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of BNI are embraced and continuously practiced.
  6. Collaborate with the CORE Leadership Team on the development, communication, and implementation and execution of effective growth strategies and processes to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, business goals, and objectives.
  7. Report on the weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance of CORE to your team.
  8. Assist with planning and executing special projects.
  9. Identify opportunities and develop solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness throughout the CORE.
  10. Participate in strategic business planning and budget process for your division
  11. In collaboration with, and when necessary cross functional partners, develop and manage field force alignments, resource requirements, and any expansion/realignment initiatives.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Develop and Lead a Successful Team 

  1. Hiring, training, developing, and appraising staff effectively; taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policies
  2. Support, motivate, and empower a high-performing team of Managing Directors; attract, recruit, and retain recommended members of the team.
  3. Providing day-to-day leadership and management of Managing Directors reflecting company core values.
  4. Schedule, plan, prepare and facilitate Team meetings.
  5. Conduct high frequency coaching calls that include mentoring and are focused on accountability (organizationally, focusing on Managing Directors and their support of Regions).

Minimum Experience and Education

  • BNI Director for at least 1 year (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred)
  • Franchise experience a plus but not required

Physical Demands and Working Conditions 

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
