Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Security Director to join our team at our office in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate should have vast experience in security using different technologies with an emphasis on Microsoft Office 365. The candidate should be detail-oriented, have excellent analytical skills, and have a strong understanding of IT security principles. The role is an individual contributor role.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for implementing organizational information security for the company.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Lead the creation and implementation of disaster recovery, business continuity plans, and a business impact analysis.
- Oversee regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Educate both technical and non-technical stakeholders on security best practices, risks, and mitigation strategies in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide support for data compliance audits and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Experience with application development security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in IT security
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- Entra (Azure AD), Purview (Compliance), Defender (Security) experience ideal
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices
- Experience with GDPR, CCPA, PIPL, and other data compliance/privacy regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to influence various departments and stakeholders to include and engage IT security in their project plans.
