On Thursday, April 21, to help kick of the start of the 2016 U.S. National Conference, the BNI Foundation held the first annual Bike Build, with the aim of donating the completed bikes to a local Cincinnati, Ohio charity.

Twenty bikes were built in less than an hour by directors, members, and headquarters team members. These bikes, complete with helmets and accessories like baskets and bells, were donated to Rob’s Kids. Rob’s Kids, operated by Stephanie Potter, a BNI member, ensured the bikes went to children at St. Joseph’s Orphanage in Ohio. Blue Chip Express, another organization local to the area, volunteered to pick up and deliver the bikes to the orphanage on behalf of both Rob’s Kids and the BNI Foundation.

The project was a fantastic example of a Business Voices project at work, benefiting children in need in a local BNI community.

Rob’s Kids is a charity in Cincinnati that was founded to help children who struggle with Depression and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
