Position Summary
The President, APAC Markets, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, will drive improved growth and consistency in its company-owned countries sharing best practices between company-owned regions and franchised operations to support broader brand growth worldwide. They will work closely with senior leadership to establish financial and operational plans, quantifying them via detailed annual budgets and multi-year projections, with the focus being the company-owned countries in the APAC Markets.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Consolidated P and L responsibility for the company owned APAC countries
- Drive revenue growth and profitability across all APAC markets, setting ambitious targets and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed financial objectives.
- Develop and drive the strategy to ensure both Member Growth and Revenue EBITDA Growth
- Work closely with Country Leaders within APAC to develop and execute comprehensive strategies to drive business growth and market expansion across the APAC region.
- Provide visionary leadership to align APAC operations with corporate objectives and global initiatives.
- Identify emerging market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics to capitalize on growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with the President, Franchise Operations to collaborate between our company owned countries and our Master Franchised countries
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels to enhance market penetration and accelerate growth.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and market trends to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization.
- Continuous development of a high-performing team by engaging, coaching an developing team members, and by driving accountability and ownership at all levels. Build a team where all country leaders are top talent with a strong say=do and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ensure operational excellence and efficiency across all aspects of APAC operations including Member growth, retention and customer service.
- Implement standardized processes, procedures, and quality standards to optimize operational performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry associations, customers, and business partners.
- Serve as the primary liaison between corporate headquarters and APAC operations, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance visibility, build brand reputation, and foster strategic alliances.
Required Qualifications:
- Four-year degree or related field experience required
- At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in senior leadership required
- Previous P and L management is a must
- Proven experience in leading cross functional, remote leaders in a matrixed organization
- Unmatched budgeting, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven leadership, supervisory, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to fluently and productively communicate in English
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to embark on local and international travel, as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus
- MBA
- Experience in senior leadership within a services, membership, franchise, or global organization.
