Overview

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Global Controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting, preparation of financial statements, and reporting for multiple business entities. This position, seated in Charlotte, NC, will have full P&L responsibility, which includes, but is not limited to all corporate accounting, financial statement consolidations, analysis, annual audits and working with international offices. Attractive compensation with an additional incentive plan and benefits.

Position Description
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly & quarterly financial statements
  • Prepare and execute investor communications, board meeting materials
  • Manage external auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner
  • Establish, implement, manage and monitor critical accounting and reporting policies, processes and associated metrics
  • Work closely with management team, set standards and drive compliance across the entire organization
Core Competencies
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills; advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Good understanding of international finance including complex global systems and international consolidations
  • Experience driving transformation and efficiencies in controls and accounting systems
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, business, or a related field required; CPA preferred
  • At least ten years of professional experience. Priority for those with specific accounting and financial experience with a franchise environment
  • Proficiency with business and accounting software required; Enterprise QuickBooks and Prophix experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills as well as gap analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally
