BNI Fundadores--a Hall of Fame Chapter Launch

Article written and submitted by Tiago Henriques da Cunha, National Director – BNI Spain

On September 5, 2012, BNI Spain launched the BNI Fundadores Chapter in Palma de Mallorca, Spain with Nidya Mellone Muller as the Executive Director.

This launch is a Hall of Fame chapter launch, with 35 members of six different nationalities (Spain, USA, Colombia, Germany, Belgium and UK) who speak four different languages (Spanish, English, Catalan and German).

The Mallorca Society is a multicultural society whose population is comprised of 25% foreigners. Although in Spain, most of the local people speak Catalan as their first language.

In this chapter all of these languages are spoken, and business referrals are generated like in any other chapter.

In this video you can listen to four presentations in different languages (the video was made by a Belgian who is a member).

Please join BNI in saluting Nidya Melone-Muller for her outstanding work, and for this rare and unique endeavour.

Nidya Melone-Muller graciously said of the launch:

“This is not only our success, it speaks of all the silent and not so silent support we have received from the Spanish Leadership Team, directors such as Pedro Parra and several others, as well as most of the BNI members we've had the fortune to meet and receive encouragement and a word of advice from along the way.

As you very well know there is quite a bit of work behind opening a new venue.  We are especially grateful here in the Balearics of all the support we received from Tiago, Mark, and their team along the way; we could not have done it without them.

In a country where many businesses are suffering, through BNI we offer hope, renewed energies, and the additional revenue many need to keep on going. This alone makes the road worth traveling.”
