 The 2009 International Directors’ Conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Long Beach, CA with over 550 BNI Directors and BNI staff in attendance and an impressive 300 BNI members showing up for the November 7th Members’ Day Session.
UK BNI member Richard Swan kicked off the Conference by performing his highly creative, inspiring, and entertaining song about BNI, sung to the tune of Don McLean’s “American Pie,” and received a standing ovation from the entire audience.
The revved-up crowd of Directors then enjoyed a highly illuminating and entertaining Chairman’s Report from Dr. Ivan Misner and a highly informative CEO Report delivered by BNI’s CEO, Norm Dominguez.
Another notable Conference highlight was when Stewart Emery, co-author of the international bestseller Success Built to Last, gave a powerful presentation on “How to Make People Love You and Your Company.”
The Conference wound to a close with a variety of educational Breakout training sessions, individual and group dance cards, and open networking sessions, and ended with the BNI Awards Banquet on Saturday night where over 200 awards were given out.
The 2009 International Directors’ Conference truly was an event to remember and next year’s Conference, which will be held in beautiful Orange County, California (home of Disneyland Park, known worldwide for being The Happiest Place on Earth), promises to be even better! |
