 Back in April of this year, the first BNI chapter in Kenya was launched. Now, only four months later, Kenya has launched a second chapter!
This is a great accomplishment, especially considering the fact that In January of 2008, Kenya witnessed the worst political crisis since its independence and investors were pulling out in droves. However, E. Muraguri and Bijay Shah, the National Directors for BNI Kenya, saw this as an opportunity for BNI. There couldn’t be a better time for business people to see the need to get together and support each other in true Givers Gain style. On April 22, 2008, Kenya launched its first chapter.
Kenya’s second chapter, the BNI Faida (a Kiswahili word meaning “to profit / prosper”) chapter was launched on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. National Directors Muraguri and Shah were pleased with the large turnout and they expect that the chapter will soon reach 33 members.
